Souley Motorsport is selling two Ray GRS07/08′s. Both cars have been looked after to a professional standard and are proven front running cars. The car piloted by Jonny McMullan started from pole and lead the first 10 laps of the Formula Ford Festival in 2014.

Paul Barnes driving his Swift 92 has had a fantastic season to take the Class B crown – picking up multiple class race wins and recording a best overall race result of 4th in the August. Paul is now looking to carry the seasons strong performance into the Formula Ford Carnival at Castle Combe in October and the end of season Walter Hayes Trophy at the beginning of November.

David Cobbold has had a dominant season of racing at Castle Combe in Class C, winning every single meeting he’s entered and wrapping up the championship when there where still 3 rounds left to run. David when asked about his seasons performance said “We’ve had another great year, winning the championship here for the third time. I’ve been working with Brian [team manager] to really develop the car this year, and his expertise in setting up and maintaining the car means we’re still getting faster – our next goal is to try and break the lap record!”.

All in all, it’s been a fantastic year for Souley Motorsport. Wrapping up 2 championship wins has been a fantastic achievement. We’re now look forward to challenging in the Formula Ford Carnival at Castle Combe, the Festival at Brands Hatch and then the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone.

This week sees the release of Souley Motorsport’s new video, showing Formula Ford racing at it’s best…

Souley Motorsport is pleased to see the addition of Mark De Rozarieux to their driver line up for 2014. Mark, who has been racing at Castle Combe this season joins the team mid season to take advantage of the Souley Motorsports advanced driver coaching and car setup facilities. We look forward to seeing Mark in action later on in the month at Combe!

Karting graduate Harry Cobbold has followed in his fathers footsteps and joined the Souley Motorsport ranks. Harry has already completed 2 successful days testing with Souley Motorsport at Llandow in a Ray GR10 where with the help of Brian was able to get on the pace quickly and easily. He will be competing more test days with the Souley team in 2014 with a view to racing in 2015.

Rob will also be looking to race with Souley at both the Walter Hayes Trophy and Castle Combe Carnival events later on in the year.

For now Souley is concentrating in the build up too the first pre season test days, see you all there!

Jay was the highest finisher overall, driving well in his heat races to secure a close 3rd position and a second which secured him directly into the semifinal. Jay raced hard in the semi which saw him finish in 8th and progress straight into the Final. An incredibly close final led to some great racing up at the front which Souley were able to keep on th back of for the majority of the race,  ending in a very deserved 11th.

David Coyne racing in a Class B 92 Swift raced in the same heat as Jay, and raced aggressively throughout the weekend, in the heat he achieved an 8th place. Again seeing him through to the semi final where unfortunately after an incident at Becketts meant he was unable to complete the race.

James also had a successful weekend in his Ray 06, in his heat he failed to make it straight through into the semi finals so went into both the last chance and progression races. After clawing back he made it onto the back of the semi final grid where he raced well, moving up the grid on the verge of making the final when he span into the complex avoiding an oil patch.

All in all Souley had a brilliant weekend at Silverstone, plans are now already forming for next season as new drivers look to take race seats with the team, a busy winter ahead, we’ll see you all after the break… Watch this space!
